O&O Defrag Professional Edition - The new O&O Defrag 11 Professional Edition activates the hidden performance of your computer. O&O Defrag optimizes your hard disk and effectively and securely packs file fragments back together. Differences to previous versions

We have expanded the range of functions of the new O&O Defrag 11 to make it even easier to use. For the first time, it is possible to defragment single folders or files over the context menu besides the usual hard disks and partitions. Furthermore, we have developed a background monitoring function, which automatically protects your computer against strong fragmentation without you as a user having to get involved. The new and sophisticated file status view shows you the quantity and the fragmentation level of the most extensively affected files. Also, the already familiar block view has been enhanced with detailed information. Thus, you will receive an overview with O&O Defrag 11, of where the individual fragmented parts of the files are to be found on the hard disk.

Maximum efficiency thanks to new technology

Fragmentation is the main reason for an extensive performance loss under Windows. Since hard disks tend to be the slowest components of a computer, it is imperative that their performance is optimized. Newly developed technologies within O&O Defrag 11 allow for an even better adjustment to Windows Vista and a better processing of especially big file systems (several million files) – while still using the least amount of working memory. I've only used this product for a couple of days now, but so far I am very impressed with it. I am running it under windows 7 with no problems whatsoever. Background monitoring is a great feature. Overall, great product!

Your trial version errored out with 'Need a 32 bit version of NT' on my Vista 64 Home edition. i had been planning to just purchase the professional version without trial- until i saw the trial link.

However i am not about to drop 50 dollars if I cannot get a trial version to install on my machine; accordingly I went to perfect disk, though I wanted to use your product based on recommendations on flight sim boards.

It installed without issue.

Does not install on Vista

I tried to install the software on Vista Ultimate but unfortunately the program does not install. I then tried to install it on Windows XP and I was able to complete the operation. Overall I lke the program but because we are migrating to Vista 64 Bit I would like to be informed when a version of O&O supporting this OS will be released. Also I would like to know if there is a version of the software for Microsoft Small business Server Edition; specifically a version that defrag Exchange too.

Yes. O&O Defrag will be ready when Windows Vista is released. If you are interested in trying out O&O Defrag on servers, please check out our O&O Defrag Server Edition. As for 64 bit support, O&O DEfrag is now out of its BETA period and its new version, Version 8.5, is 64-bit compatible.
